“My labor with my first baby was long & tiring, and I was awake for a long time. I wasn’t able to rest in the hospital and by the time I came home, I was determined to “do it all on my own”. This was a big mistake!! I ended up with postpartum depression and needed assistance from my family just so I could get some sleep and start motherhood on the right track. My husband was very supportive, but he had to return to work quickly after the birth.”
