I’m Nia and I am so happy to be here, holding space for families as they navigate the immediate postpartum period or the fourth trimester. My journey to being a Postpartum Doula came by surprise as I was supporting a dear friend and her family in their fourth trimester. A flame was lit and I knew that this was something I wanted and NEEDED to do for more families! In my career as a nanny, I watched the lack of proper support for families in those early postpartum days and I know how much of a difference that proper care can make. So, here I am, providing that care and love for families all over Chicago.

As a trained Postpartum Doula, I am committed to providing quality and individualized support to every birthing person and family that I care for. I understand the transition that a family goes through as they navigate their new addition, whether it is your first or fourth.

In addition to postpartum support, I am also a yoga teacher who specializes in perinatal yoga. I am equipped to support birthing people with yoga as they move through pregnancy and postpartum. Yoga is a great way to incorporate movement into your journey and to specifically support your pre and postnatal body and mind. As a yogi myself, it is such a joy to combine two things I hold close to my heart: yoga and birthwork.
